Bower and Company successfully placed two key Board members for our FT
Extel
division: the Sales and Marketing Director and IT Production Director.
They
were also searching for an IT Development Director but this recruitment
was
halted when an internal appointment was made.
Bob Bower approached our Managing Director regarding our need to appoint
urgently a Sales and Marketing Director. They met and discussed the role
and
preferred candidate profile. It was made clear to Bob that there was no
exclusive arrangement but he was so confident in his Company's ability
to
fill the role that he carried out the search for suitable candidates on
a
contingency basis. He delivered on his commitment and we made an
appointment, who has proved an excellent choice.
We then gave Bower and Company an assignment to fill a further two Board
directorships: the IT Production Director and IT Development Director.
They
conducted a professional recruitment process, from copy writing and placing
an advertisement in the Sunday Times under their own logo to collating
responses and short-listing suitable and appropriate candidates from both
the advertising campaign and their network. We were pleased with the results.
In my experience, Bower and Company offer a search and selection service
which compares favourably with that offered by larger concerns. We have
found them to be experienced and successful in the recruitment of middle
to
senior level staff who have well developed IT skills within financial
services and I have no hesitation in recommending them for similar assignments.
